Who We Are

A+ Multimedia is a subsidiary of EyeGaze and is managed by the same team of directors, Mick Canavan and Neil Finlay, supported by a number of accessibility consultants and sign language presenters.

A+ Multimedia is a new social venture that aims to encourage, assist and supply all museums and art galleries with affordable multimedia devices that allow access for all. The combination of video, audio and text allows for the implementation of British Sign Language Guides, narratives supported by text and audio descriptions for the visually impaired to be delivered on the same device, reducing costs and increasing social inclusion.

Working closely with our partner Acoustiguide we are confident that we can meet all of your needs and in turn, you can meet all the needs of your visitors – contact us today.

The A+ Multimedia Directors

Mick Canavan

MickMick Canavan is the father of two children one of whom is bilingual in British Sign Language and written English, the other who is tri-lingual in French, English and British Sign Language. Mick became interested and passionately involved in Deaf politics after the 'recognition' that his first daughter was Deaf almost 13 years ago. Mick moved from Brighton to Bristol so that his daughter could be educated at Elmfield school, one of the few schools where children are taught in British Sign Language and where their Deaf identity is treated with respect. Bristol also offered the chance to work at the Centre for Deaf Studies at Bristol University and Mick worked on a number of diverse projects during the seven years that he worked there before leaving to set up EyeGaze.
